May 10: The Bible ends - may 17: the Bucky Dome opens - may 22: Six new C&E releases.

Hectic days for Country & Eastern:

A few days after the end of the Bible we are heavily involved in the Bucky Dome at Skeppsholmen opening on may 17 with inauguration, re-release on cd and vinyl of Don Cherry's old double album Organic Music on the Caprice label. Release concert with the Organic Music Band. Plus release of the new Neneh Cherry & The Thing album with a live performance as well. It starts at 2.30 pm, here is your invitation, and the program for the summer will be found there as well. The Dome will be open daily during the summer and there will be lots and lots of music, most of it free for all.

On the 19th, The Organic Music Band will give a concert with David and Eagle-Eye Cherry and Jeanpiero Pramagiore at 7 pm.

On may 22 at 5 pm C&E have a grand release party of our new 6(!) albums with Iskra, Westling-Keijser-Berger, Elias Krantz and TWO legendary tabla albums. Live music by Iskra, Keijser/Berger. DJ Elias Krantz.

On may 29 Berger-Knutsson-Spering with guests will start a workshop around Don Cherry's music to be held each tuesday at 5 pm during june and august. Feel free to come and join us to learn or teach Cherry music.

 2012 was a year we lost so many musicians and friends. On april 22, exactly one year back, K. Shivakumar left this world. He was a very close friend and a wonderful violinist, one of the very few A grade musicians, not only in Karnatic music but also in Hindustani (M.S.G who just passed as well is the only other one I know of) which he learned from age five from Ustad Zia Mohiuddin Dagar.
