 After many years, finally a new album from ISKRA, Scandinavia’s foremost group for free improvised music from the seventies until the turn of the century.  K. Shivakumar passed away after some time of illness in his home in Chembur, Bombay on april 22, 2012. He was born in 1945 and was a master of the karnatic as well as the hindustani classical tradition (he learned from Ustad Zia Mohiuddin Dagar). He leaves all who new him, learned from or played with him or listened to him in deep sorrow.   Read more »

 Bengt "Beche" Berger is writing the music for Niklas Rådström's stage version of the Bible, playing together with Stefan Bellnäs and Göran Klinghagen from Beches Brew. The five and a half hour play, covering both testaments, will be directed by Stefan Metz at the Stadsteatern in Gothenburg. Rehearsals start on tuesday october 11 and the opening will be in mid february.   Read more »

 BEFIVE will play three concerts in Stockholm. Two new albums will be released at the end of september, one with Per Tjernberg and one more Dhrupad album with Z.M. Dagar and Z.F.
