BE FIVE – Bengt Ernryd Five

BE Five (Bengt Ernryd Five) is the latest of Bengt Ernryd's several own groups since the early sixties and very much his “dreamteam” with some of Sweden’s most outstanding musicians, formed in the spring of 2011. The members are all wellknown Country & Eastern profiles, Jonas Knutsson, Mats Öberg, Christian Spering and Bengt Berger.

Bengt Ernryd was born in 1943. Trumpet studies with Knud Hovaldt, Copenhagen and Jerome Callet, New York. Composition at the Royal Swedish Music Academy with Ingvar Lidholm. Music director at Stadsteatern (City theatre), Stockholm 1969 – 2007. 

He has composed extensively for theatres, movies and TV – amongst all the immensely popular children program series “Five ants are more than four elephants”, and “Raskens” seen by 80% of the Swedish population….
